Tarvas a Finnish footwear brand was established in 2017. Tarvas is a Helsinki-based company that designs and manufactures functional products to support humans’ inner and outer journeys. Tarvas office is located in Kruununhaka district in Helsinki where the Tarvas team design and handcraft prototypes of the products, while the production of the footwear takes place in Parkano, Finland.  

Tarvas sources raw materials from European vendors and manufactures the footwear in Finland. The company doesn’t use third parties in sourcing and the team also takes part in the production. A part of the production is manufactured using recycled and/or upcycled materials.  

Starting from 2020 Tarvas has also sourced deadstock raw materials from around Europe and starts to bring upcycled options alongside inline collections. The company believes in transparency and all suppliers are documented. Tarvas is piloting a re-soling service during 2021 in order to give new life to used Tarvas shoes.
