These terms and conditions apply to the entire contents and orders placed at Glasshouse Helsinki’s website (“Site”). Please read these terms carefully before placing an order. Placing an order indicates that you accept the terms. These terms will form a contract between you and Glasshouse Helsinki. From time to time, Glasshouse Helsinki Oy may change these terms and conditions by updating the terms and conditions on the Site.

3. Availability

We cannot, unfortunately, guarantee that all items in our online shop are in stock at the time of your order. We reserve the right at all times and at our sole discretion to cancel your order for compulsory reason, such as the unavailability of a product, errors in the prices or product descriptions posted on the Site.

4. Payments

All trade happen between the online customer and Glasshouse Helsinki. All payments made in the webshop are processed at your choice via Stripe or Klarna in accordance with their respective payment terms.

5. Prices

The prices displayed on this site are quoted in Euro, including Finnish VAT (24%). Prices do not include delivery or customs costs. Orders from non-EU countries might be subject to duties and/or taxes upon delivery. Such duties and/or taxes are the responsibility of the customer.

6. Shipping & Delivery

We currently offer a worldwide CO2 shipping. Orders are normally dispatched within the next 1-3 working days after you have placed the order. Orders are sent via Posti or DHL depending on your choice of a delivery method. Shipping method, time and price will vary depending on your country and the chosen delivery method. See below for further information.

All deliveries are CO2-neutral and compensated through our logistics partner programs.

Store pick-ups

Free store pick-ups are available in Finland on weekdays at GH Aleksi at Aleksanterinkatu 13, Helsinki. Once your online order is ready for a pick-up (within 1-2 working days) you will be notified via phone or email with further info.

Delivery times

In Finland the delivery time is 2-4 business days delivered by Posti, and 1-2 days when delivered by DHL Express.

All orders outside Finland are currently delivered by DHL Express, and depending on the destination, the delivery time is currently 2-5 business days. Please refer the table above for updated delivery times.

Non-picked up parcels

For parcels returned to us by courier due to no picking up the order(s), we will charge a fee of €20 per parcel for Finnish orders and for orders outside Finland €40 per parcel to cover handling costs.

Order confirmations

Any orders you place at the Site will form a valid contract between you and Glasshouse Helsinki.

After placing an order on the Site you will receive and order confirmation indicating that your order has been received. Once we have processed your order and it’s ready to be shipped to you, you will receive a shipping confirmation with a tracking code and a link / tracking code and links.

7. Returns

You can return any item within 14 days of receiving your order. All items you wish to return must be returned in the same condition as they were delivered to you to be eligible for a refund. When returning the product you must present a receipt or other equivalent proof of purchase for the product – please use our return form that you can find with your order. If you don’t have this documents please contact us on customercare@glasshousehelsinki.com.

Returns must meet the following requirements:

– The item is to be in new condition,
– The returned item must correspond to the item delivered,
– The item is returned in its original packaging in good condition, all in a package properly closed.

Should you have used the item and, therefore, it does not correspond with the item delivered, you are liable for the reduction of value, in maximum to the total value of the item.

Should the item be personalized or customized for you, it cannot be returned.

We are currently offering a free return for all orders except for returns including furniture. If you are returning furniture, please note that the return fee is the following:

8. Defective goods and liability

We have a mandatory liability for defects based on the applicable consumer regulations. You have a right to return defective items purchased from us.

If the item(s) you have received are faulty, wrong or damaged upon arrival, please contact us within 3 days upon receiving the order via email and attach a picture of the defective item to your email.

Please send notices of defect to our email address: customercare@glasshousehelsinki.com. We will, at our own discretion, remedy the defect either by replacing the  defective item with an identical  undamaged item as soon as we get a replacement or repair the defected item if its reparation is possible. Should the replacement or reparation of the item prove impracticable or impossible, we also have the right to return the purchase price at our discretion.

Glasshouse Helsinki does not accept liability for defects caused by improper use of the product or other defects for which the customer is responsible. Glasshouse Helsinki is not liable for the loss of access to the item or other inconvenience to the customer caused by a possible product error, defect or reparation.

Notwithstanding the applicable mandatory regulation, you agree that Glasshouse Helsinki’s total liability shall be limited to the purchase price actually paid to Glasshouse Helsinki

9. Privacy Policy

We are committed to protecting your privacy and we comply fully with the requirements of applicable data protection legislation, including but not limited to the General Data Protection Regulation of the EU (Regulation 2016/679/EU). You can read our detailed privacy policy here.

10. Intellectual property rights

All elements on the Site are protected by copyright and/or other intellectual property rights. They remain the exclusive property of Glasshouse Helsinki or its service providers. No licenses or rights are granted.

11. Governing law & jurisdiction

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Finland, without giving effect to the choice of laws provisions therein. This provision will not limit any consumer protection rights that you may be entitled to under the mandatory laws of your country of residence.

Any dispute concerning these terms and conditions is to be settled in the competent Finnish court. If the customer is not domiciled in Finland, the disputes will be settled in Helsinki District Court.

Consumers may alternatively file a complaint at the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board (www.kuluttajariita.fi), which is an independent body that provides recommendations for resolving legal disputes between consumers and businesses in Finland. Consumers based in Europe also have the possibility to bring their case to the online dispute resolution forum maintained by the European Commission.
